The maintenance of Fårö's roads was managed by the landowners. The distance each was required to maintain was in proportion to the size of the landholding.
At the beginning of the 1930s, there were 39 church stables preserved in connection with Fårö church. However, these were in poor condition. They lay in groups around the church by the access roads.

Important! The oak stands on private land and special consideration should be taken when visiting the place. On one of the farms at Ava is the famous Avaeken. also
