Glass packaging such as bottles can be recycled at ICA Nyströms on Eke and at Region Gotland's recycling station, 1.5 km from the ferry stop (See sign Kutamora).

In order for glass packaging to be recycled, it must not be mixed with other items. Ceramics, porcelain, drinking glasses and other glass products that are not packaging should therefore not be left in the recycling container for glass packaging. They are left as other residual waste or bulky waste at the recycling centre.

• Light bulbs collected together with electrical waste.
• Glass bottles with a deposit left in the store.

Colored and uncolored glass packaging are left in different containers for the recycling to work. Even if the same car collects packages from several different containers, it has separate compartments for colored and uncolored glass and in some cases also for other types of packages. The different packages are kept separate throughout the recycling process.
