Dampen mill

The mill was probably built in the middle of the 19th century and was owned by Niklas Petter Dalberg. Bojan Andersson, born and raised near Dämba, has told about the ownership of Dämbakvarnen.

In 1876, Niklas Petter Dahlberg transferred the mill to the two farm parties, and the owners from this time onwards were:
Farm party 1. Jacob Petter Broman, Josef Broman and Valter Broman.
Farm part 2. Ulrika Ahlberg, Karl Ringbom and Hugo Ringbom.

The mill was in operation until 1931 when it lost its wings that same year. The owners were then Josef Broman and Hugo Ringbom. After this grinding, the mill had to fall into disrepair. During a landscape maintenance inventory in 1968-1969, one notes, "...not so dilapidated. The roof is lousy, the wings blew down in 1931, but the millwork remains.”

At this time, in 1972, the mill gets a new owner, who ensures that the mill house gets a new hood and other restoration. Inside, a holiday home is created. Outside there are still some of the various functional elements from the old mill, i.a. the mill shaft, parts of the big wheel and the two millstones. The stones are of red fine-grained granite and in the top stone the sail is still left.
